I have been completely absorbed with Bigfoot/Sasquatch for over a year. I have met many prominent people in the "Bigfoot Community" over the past year. I like and respect most.
I am amazed by several issues.
1. The complete lack of individuals unwilling to acknowledge others work and or work together.
2. It seems that the "PROMINENT" individuals in the "Bigfoot Community" disrespect and question each other, which in my opinion only leads to more skepticism from those who think the creatures do not exist in the first place. More importantly, if everyone would work together, we could come to a more legitimate conclusion sooner rather than later. I think we all really want to know the truth. There is actually more evidence that the creatures exist than that they do not. My father always said "a wise man can always change his mind, while a fool never will."
3. The complete ignorance of some "researchers" doing the same things over and over again; expecting different results. If you keep doing what you've been doing, you're gonna keep getting what you've been getting. If you do not believe me, try it with your spouse or significant other. Let me know how that works out for you.
4. Matt Moneymaker, and the "Finding Bigfoot" team can reenact every report in the world, but reenacting a sighting to determine viability and authenticity of a sighting report is not worth the time it takes to do it. Watching Ranae being "Skeptical" is even more ridiculous as she is not skeptical of the checks she cashes each week! She should get an Academy Award! All of this does apparently does make for good TV as they are in their second season. I hope the get a third season; as all of us in this industry (and it is an industry) owe them a great debt of gratitude!
5. There are several individuals that really are serious, do great work, have integrity and good character. There are those that have been tarred by the brush of others. Tom Biscardi is one who has great integrity, is honest and has been beat to death by some in the BF Community for no reason or actual evidence that he has ever wronged anyone. For example, a well known blogger (or reporter) as that individual calls them self; constantly belittles and implies MR BISCARDI lacks honesty and character. When in fact "the reporter" personally told me he is straight forward and honest. I witnessed "the reporter" in Tom's presence, I was involved in their conversations, the evidence he presented "the reporter", saw the reaction to the evidence then watched (and read) "the reporter" systematically try to discredit him for the past few months and I still wonder why and what ""the reporter" expects to accomplish by this action. Perhaps the popular opinion? I watched as Mr. Biscardi bought all the meals, paid for accommodations, transportation, made sure to keep "the reporter" safe during an expedition and then read the bullshit written later. Although I personally like "the reporter", I am amazing ashamed of that type of behavior and to me it speaks more to "the reporters" character than to Mr. Biscardi's!!!
Keeping Sasquatch in front of American audiences and their interest in the subject at an all time peak! Finding Bigfoot is probably one of the most popular shows on Animal Planet and one of the most watched shows on Sunday evening in the United States! Now that IS AMAZING!!!
So this is my first BLOG and I am interested in your feedback! I really did not mean to make my first post about "the reporter" more so, I mean to speak to the situation of researchers and writers who "back-stab", discredit, gripe and never actually get out in the field. I have heard them called "Keyboard Commandos" and perhaps that is a true and factual circumstance. There are those interested in Sasquatch that cannot for whatever reason get out and do actual research. I do not think they should write as if they do though, do you? I mean, if you cannot get out, you can't. Just don't act as if you do.
